Isn’t the optic nerve wonderful, transmitting information from a biological lens to a biological computer so we can interpret a image.

I was putting good use of my optic nerve at an early age. I held up 35mm Petri rangefinder camera and took some images of my father. I was seven years old! Some fifty years years later I still get that magical feeling of picking up a camera, walking into a darkroom or opening my computer to explore, create and learn more.

I’ve worked in Central London, Bristol and internationally as photographic technician and photographer, and have produced work for clients such as; Martin Parr, De Beers, Virgin Atlantic to name a few. I spent many years working on cruise ships as Chief Photographer and have photographed in seventy countries. More recently I was was invited by Brighton University to give a photographic ‘walk & talk’ at the ‘Community Psychology Festival’ over a two day event. I volunteered to be a mentor with the ‘My Brighton and Hove Photo Project’ and have held an exhibition at ‘Colonnade House’ in Worthing, titled ‘Ride Like The Wind’.

The Future: Until the recent outbreak of covid I was all set to study for a Masters Degree in Photography at Brighton University.
This setback included a minor stroke that I suffered last summer to which I am recovering.

Exhibitions have included; Brighton University, Colonnade House, Worthing Artists Open Houses.
