Jane Couldrey

Upcycled charity shop pots & vases that have been turned into unique artworks by the application of coloured tissue paper, paint, ink and collage.

Jane reinvents unloved pots and vases she finds in charity shops to create unique, contemporary art pieces.

She uses layered tissue paper, acrylic paint, pastels and collage combined with simple shapes. She is interested in the many different ways that pots and vases can be decorated and makes a connection with ancient archetypal forms and modern art. She is beginning to explore using the pots to tell stories.

She exhibited recently as part of the Arundel Gallery Trail and Worthing Open Houses.

She has worked as an illustrator and graphic designer and she taught creative media and art & design for 15 years.

Jane is now taking time out to develop her creative practice as well as run workshops.
