I was born in Dublin and spent most of my childhood in France. My interest in art was fostered at an early age not only by private tuition but also the encouragement of the French painter, Dunoyer de Segonzac. I studied art at Kingston Polytechnic and gained my BA (Hons) degree at Wimbledon School of Art.
I find inspiration in my immediate environment as well as places I visit in England and abroad. With vibrant colour and a strong rhythm of line, I try to bring a unique warmth, intensity and wit to places and objects we all know.
I have exhibited widely in the UK including the Royal Academy. I am a member of the Shoreham Art Gallery, Kemptown Arts Association and Teddington Artists. My work is in private and corporate collections worldwide. I have received several commissions for ‘house portraits’.
