“Ceramics is a beautiful art form that combines creativity, craftsmanship, and a tactile experience”

Medium and technique
“My studio at the bottom of the garden is my ‘happy place.’ Here, I immerse myself for hours, crafting pottery that I envision in my own home. Recently, I’ve updated my glazes to achieve a lighter, more modern aesthetic, and I’m thrilled with the results. My collection is made of stoneware and earthenware, either wheel-thrown or hand-built. Currently, I am developing a range of new ideas that I will be showcasing at local fairs.”
What to expect
Claire’s exhibit at “The Art Above Exhibition” will feature a stunning collection of brightly coloured, functional ceramics. These pieces are designed to be both beautiful and practical, making them perfect additions to any kitchen or home. The vibrant colours and unique designs are sure to catch the eye and add a touch of artistry to everyday living spaces.
Additionally, Claire will be showcasing her unique garden sculptures called “Bee Cups.” These functional pieces serve as a decorative garden element that double up as drinking wells for pollinators, such as bees. The “Bee Cups” not only enhance garden aesthetics but also support the local ecosystem by providing much-needed hydration to pollinators, making them a wonderful fusion of art and environmental care.
