Join us for a hands-on workshop where we’ll explore the art of découpage—a beautiful technique that combines collage, paint, and an acrylic sealant. We’ll transform plain gift boxes into enchanting keepsakes that will make your Christmas presents truly unique.
What You’ll Learn:
Discover the history and fundamentals of découpage. Learn how to choose suitable materials and surfaces for your project. You will be able to personalise your giftbox by adding your own style – Christmas designs, motifs or text. We will then apply an acrylic sealant to protect and give a glossy or matte finish.
Materials Provided:
- Blank gift boxes (various sizes, but you can bring your own if you prefer)
- Assorted decorative papers
- Acrylic paints
- Brushes
- Mod Podge or découpage glue
- Acrylic sealant
What to Bring:
- Your festive spirit!
- Any specific decorative paper or trimmings you’d like to incorporate. (optional)

How many people are in each workshop?
There is a maximum of 8 people per course.
I have paid for a place in a workshop but am now unable to come. Is it possible to have a refund?
We can only give refunds in exceptional circumstances. We will however offer an alternative date or course.
Are refreshments provided?
We will take a short break for tea and biscuits for refreshments.
I'm left-handed, can I still join in?
Yes, that will not cause any problems.
Do I need to bring anything?
No, all materials and tools are provided.
I'm not artistic can I still join?
Yes, absolutely everyone is welcome!
Do I need to wear special clothing?
Be sure to wear clothes that won't matter getting a bit dirty!
Is this course suitable for children?
Age suitability – Adults 18+ (16/17 only if accompanied by a responsible “paying” adult). Regrettably, as the teaching space, within the upstairs gallery, is limited, no accompanying children are permissible within the class.
