I Work in acrylic paint and monoprint on wooden panels combining the two techniques to create multilayered landscape inspired abstracts.
I am currently using the same limited colour palette of phthalo blue, turquoise, pink, yellow and white for all my work to create cohesion between the different pieces.

I have taught art to adults for many years in the rehabilitation department of a military charity, due to time constraints my practice began to get forgotten. During lock down I had the chance to begin getting back in touch with my own work and I made a conscious decision to start getting it seen by more than just friends and family. I rediscovered my love of painting during this time and was keen to combine this with the printing techniques I was already working with.
2023 is shaping up to be a busy year, as well as having my work in Montague Gallery, I will be having a solo exhibition at Colonnade House, Worthing during the last week of April. I will also be taking part in the Steyning Art trail at the end of May where I will be exhibiting in St Nicholas’ Church and for the first 3 weekends in June, I will be in the Adur Art Trail on the houseboat Verda.

I initially studied ceramics and textiles at Manchester Polytechnic, back in the olden days! About 8 years ago I started experimenting with various print techniques including collagraph and monoprint while studying print at the Open College of Art to fit around work and family. To develop my teaching practice, I studied for an MA in Inclusive Arts Practice at Brighton University which I completed in 2013. Going forward, I will be adding to my website, and in 2023 I will begin teaching a series of classes locally, details of which will be on my website as soon as they are finalised
