Claire Lemmon is an artist, arts educator and musician. She draws inspiration from alphabets, archaeology, ariel photography, circuits, comics, complex diagrams, construction sites, dead ends, geology, graphic design, henges, language, maps, mazes, microscopy, music, organisms, pamphlets, pitfalls, posters, routes, signs, stratigraphy, symbols, trains of thought, writing.

Medium and technique

Claire draws in pen and colours her work with acrylic & emulsion, (opaque, chalky, flat slabby-ness) and watercolour (glass like, limitless depth etc). Collage is made with paper and card. Colour (and its absence) is really important, and so is line.

The works exhibited for this exhibition are in a range of sizes and are framed. There are also fanzines.
