David King

David Alan King is a talented portrait artist based in Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex. His primary focus is on portraiture, particularly capturing the nuances of the human face and figure. In addition to portraits, he also paints local scenes and still life.

David’s influences stem from the figurative tradition, and he emphasizes the effects of light on the face and figure. He employs various media, including oils, pastels, charcoal, and conté crayon. David holds a Diploma in Fine Art from MET Northbrook College in Worthing. His award-winning work has been exhibited in Brighton, Worthing, London, and Chichester. He is an active member of the West Sussex Art Society and the Adur Art Collective.
