About
Jane has had a passion for Art since childhood, when aged 6 , given her first paintbox for Christmas by her mother. Having grown up in the Lancashire countryside, surrounded by fields, woods & animals, she has a great appreciation & love of nature.
Her working career has been in the NHS, but now retired has more time for creativity.
Largely self taught,she has completed various courses along the way in Art,Interior Design, Floristry & Textiles through the Open University & continues to expand her skills
Medium and technique
Jane enjoys experimenting with different mediums; oils, watercolours & more recently
mixed media. The colours, shapes & textures found in nature are always a constant inspiration & fascination.
What to expect
For the Art Above Exhibition, Jane will be exhibiting original white framed seascapes in oils & original white framed watercolours & mixed media paintings, inspired by seasonal changes reflecting the colours of autumn & winter.
