Join local printmaker Marta Jim for a hands-on dynamic printing workshop this half term!

Children will learn the principles of mark-making using ordinary objects such as pens and juice cartons as well as printing multiple identical images from one template with a small printing press.

This is a children-only workshop suitable for ages 7 to 12 who like working with their hands and getting a bit messy!

No drawing skills or previous experience are needed as there will be a range of templates to copy from.

By the end of the session children will have:
-explored mark-making on different surfaces
-learned about repurposing materials
-explored reverse or mirror images
-used different techniques when applying or removing ink from a surface
-learned how to use a printing press
-produced multiple “prints” out of a single “plate”

All materials provided. Please bring a water bottle.
