Come along and make a small shadow box using papercutting skills!
Aimed at all ability levels, you will learn how to create an intricate picture with only a scalpel and paper.
You will create and assemble your very own 3D artwork made from various paper (maps, books pages, coloured cards, magazines pages) ready to display in a small frame provided and take home with you.
I provide various templates for inspiration which you can use as they are or alter them to make your own, or you could even come along with an idea, and we can work on it together.
All tools and materials are supplied, as well as a small frame and a set of led lights to light up your shadow box.
Come on your own, with a friend, or as a group for a birthday treat or whatever occasion you are celebrating and come away with a memento of that time spent together and a new artistic skill so that you can create some more!
P.s Remember to bring your glasses if you need them!!! I do!!!
Please bring your booking reference to the workshop.
Event FAQs
No need for any experience at all! This workshop starts with the very foundations of paper cutting so is perfect for any level of crafter and don't worry we will teach you how to handle a scalpel if you never have. Please note that using the scalpel will require your hand to use a certain amount of pressure and repetitive gestures so this might put strains on your hand, however taking a few pause and stretching your fingers usually helps.
Of course, you will surprise yourself with what you will be able to create! I will be providing templates and examples which you can follow or create your own of a mix of the two.
There is a maximum of 8 people per course.
We can only give refunds in exceptional circumstances. We will however offer an alternative date or course.
