Slow down this festive season and discover the joy of stitching on paper. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to create these two hand-stitched Christmas cards using simple paper embroidery techniques.
During the workshop, you will complete two hand-stitched cards to take home, with everything provided to continue your creative journey. You’ll receive the patterns, threads, and materials to make an additional four cards at home — giving you a set of six handmade Christmas cards to share with friends and family.
No previous stitching experience needed — just bring your creativity and enjoy a relaxing festive craft session.

How many people are in each workshop?
There is a maximum of 10 people per course.
I have paid for a place in a workshop but am now unable to come. Is it possible to have a refund or a transfer?
If you are unable to attend a booked course you may be able to transfer to a new date if at least 14 days notice is given in writing by email to workshop@montaguegallery.co.uk However any cancellation with less than 48 hours notice is non-refundable and non transferrable.
Are refreshments provided?
We will take a short break for tea and biscuits for refreshments.
I'm left-handed, can I still join in?
Yes, that will not cause any problems..
Do I need to bring anything?
No, all materials and tools are provided.
I'm not artistic can I still join?
Yes, absolutely everyone is welcome!
Is this course suitable for children?
Age suitability – Adults 18+ (16/17 only if accompanied by a responsible “paying” adult). Regrettably, as the teaching space, within the upstairs gallery, is limited, no accompanying children are permissible within the class.
