Helen Wiggins ~ artbywigs

My photography covers several genres, with a heavy influence of living by the sea since moving to the coast 10 years ago. I like detail and trying to capture that ‘moment’. Photography is a hobby; my trusted Olympus camera goes where my mood takes me, I feel I am more inspired this way. Being naturally creative I will, if I feel it will work and not be detrimental to the photo, edit photos using various tools to create a artistic image.

Artwork is available in various forms of wall art and other products, inquiries welcomed.

Helen’s interest in photography was born around 13 years ago from positive feedback given on images taken on travel trips around the world. At the same time joining Mid Sussex Camera Club, entering her work into club and regional competitions and later joining Adur Photographic, both clubs allowing her to develop her skills and learn about different genres of photography.

Through the desire to learn more her photographic journey has evolved from capturing holiday memories to exhibiting her work. Some early publications in Sussex Life and Amateur Photographer magazines prompted the creation of photo books and then a website to have a public platform to share images. Her art and photography have also been profiled in Thrive magazine (Brighton) and she has exhibited in Rye, Shoreham, Lindfield Arts Festival, Brighton Open House Art Trail 2019 and is currently a resident art exhibitor at Roffey Park Management Training Centre.

As an artist and photographer her photographic work can often bridge between photography and art, leaving the viewer to decide

Helen joined the Montague Gallery on the start of their journey and is pleased to be able to return after a short period of absence.
