“My partner and I take a daily walk on the beach with our dog, Mickey. On the day I made the sketch which became this painting the sky was huge and the clouds seemed to meet the sea in giant cathedrals of light. I used a lot of salt in the watercolour and this created the textured effect of the piece”.
