My work in glass covers leaded stained glass panels for window or door panels, copper foil pieces through to fused glass, both 2D and 3D.
I first learned stained and leaded glass at an evening class many years ago. where I produced two windows for myself. I continued practising the basics I’d been taught until I moved on to another class, led by the well known, local glass artist Sue Wallis, where I learned the art of traditional painting on glass, such as can be seen unchurch windows. Since then I have begun working with copper foil, the technique used by Louis Comfort Tiffany to produce window panels and the more well known lampshades, and I now also work in ‘hot glass’ to produced fused and slumped pieces, which require the use of a kiln.
I have exhibited work many times in the Adur Art Trail and more recently in Montague Gallery. Many examples of my work can be seen in doors and windows around the area too!
