Sunday Sketchers is a relaxed monthly class, led by Artist Michelle Dawson, where you can come and explore your creativity alongside like-minded people. In this class learn how to get the most out of charcoal.
Michelle will demonstrate how she likes to use charcoal on its own and alongside other materials, to create dramatic black and white drawings. Try this out by drawing flowers and an expressive landscape.
Please bring:
Charcoal, sketchbook or cartridge paper (at least A4 size). The additional materials of black ink and drawing skewers will be provided.

How many people are in each workshop?
There is a maximum of 10 people per course.
The workshop I am interested in is sold out; do you have a waiting list?
You can be added to the waiting list if you cannot attend, or the course is sold out.
I have paid for a place in a workshop but am now unable to come. Is it possible to have a refund?
We can only give refunds in exceptional circumstances. We will however offer an alternative date or course.
Are refreshments provided?
We will take a short break for tea and biscuits for refreshments,
I'm left-handed, can I still join in?
Yes, that will not cause any problems.
I'm not artistic can I still join?
Yes, absolutely everyone is welcome!
Is this course suitable for children?
Age suitability – Adults 18+ (16/17 only if accompanied by a responsible “paying” adult). Regrettably, as the teaching space, within the upstairs gallery, is limited, no accompanying children are permissible within the class.
