Sunday Sketchers – Line and wash street

Event Date:

20/10/2024

Event Time:

2:00 pm

Event Location:

Montague Gallery

A monthly class run by Artist Michelle Dawson for people who would like to improve their drawing and experiment with a variety of materials and techniques.

In this class we will explore how line and watercolour wash can be used to capture a row of buildings in a street scene. Michelle will demonstrate step by step how to draw, ink up and add watercolour to a street scene painting. She will have many tips for how to tackle perspective and detail, whilst also keeping your drawing loose and free.

Please bring a pencil (HB, B or 2B), a waterproof fine liner pen, watercolours (pans or tubes), a brush and paper to work on. Watercolour paper would be ideal, but a sketchbook with fairly thick pages would also be suitable.

Sorry, this event is expired and no longer available.
