Hard-ground and soft-ground etching combined with aquatint

I have been an illustrator for a number of publishers including Bloomsbury and Oxford University Press .

I grew up in Findon and Worthing, but I also lived in Belgium and the Netherlands and I studied printmaking for 9 years at Academie Noord in Antwerp.

The exhibited prints are etchings. The fine lines and tone are produced by nitric acid biting into a zinc plate which is then inked, placed on damp paper and passed through a press. The inking process always produces variation, so every print is unique.
