Linescapes

Linescapes specialises in highly detailed CAD architectural portraits of iconic buildings, architectural landmarks and bespoke commissions. Set up in 2014 by Amalia Sanchez de la Blanca, Linescapes offers a range of architecture-inspired prints, cards and gifts.

The aim is to tap into people’s emotional relationships with buildings. Architecture can evoke memories, a sense of belonging and relate to our aesthetic sense. That’s why Linescapes collections are constantly growing with drawings of buildings that mean something to people, whether it’s a cultural landmark, an architecturally significant structure or a bespoke house portrait.

Amalia has built a collection of over 70 illustrations which are available from stock. She also carries out commissions for private individuals, businesses, and cultural associations such as Sir John Soane’s Museum, Canterbury Cathedral, Chatsworth House, Harrods and Abbey Road Studios among many others.

Amalia’s background as an architect and consequent attention to detail and her trademark style ensures that all her products sit well together in an elegant and understated collection.

I’m Spanish but have been living in the UK since 1997. I came to study Architecture but after qualifying, decided to stay. I lived in London until 2013 when I moved to Brighton where I fell in love with its architecture. At that point I decided to focus on the more artistic side of architecture so I left my job as an architect and created Linescapes. My collection of drawings of iconic buildings started to grow as well as the list of stockists, clients and personal commissions. I also started attending trade shows and organising solo and group exhibitions.

2 years ago my husband and I decided to move to Worthing which we love. As part of my effort to establish my presence in Worthing, I joined Montague gallery and became part of the organising team of the Worthing Artists open Houses trail.
