Learn basic and fancy chalk board style fonts, flourishes, banners and decorations, using both chalk and chalk pens. Take home your own hand made sign to keep.
All materials (mini black board, chalk, chalk pen and A5 hanging blackboard) plus instruction manual included

Do I need to bring anything?
No, everything is provided.
Will you give us the right equipment?
You will be given a full goody bag to keep, with chalk, blackboard, chalk pen, hanging slate, sharpener, duster, and instruction manual.
Do I need any previous experience?
No, you will be taught the process from start to finish.
I'm no good at drawing and my handwriting is terrible, can I still do it?
Of course! with my instruction you will master it in no time!
Will I get chalk on me?
Yes, it does get a bit dusty, best not wear anything black and brand new!
Do you get that awful scratchy chalk noise?
No we use crayola chalks which are nice and creamy and do not make that noise!
I'm left handed, can I still join in.
Of course, I have taught many lefties!
I am not artistic in the slightest, will I be any good?
Learning calligraphy is like following a set of instructions and then practising. Learning the rules so you can break the rules! you do not need to be artistic or creative to get fabulous results.
How many people in each workshop?
There is a maximum of 8 people per course.
Can children attend your workshops?
Children are welcome from age 10yrs onwards for dip pen & ink. Age 7yrs and upwards for brush calligraphy and chalkboard lettering.
The workshop I am interested in is sold out, do you have a waiting list?

I have paid for a place on a workshops but am now unable to come, is it possible to have a refund?
We can only give refunds in exceptional circumstances. We will however offer an alternative date or course.
Are refreshments provided?
We will take a short break for a cuppa tea and biscuits for refreshments.
