September’s guest Artist at Montague Gallery will be Michelle Dawson and she is looking forward to exhibiting a new series of wildflower meadow paintings. To celebrate Michelle is leading a special mixed media meadow workshop.

She will explain the techniques she uses to achieve movement and light within her paintings of fields of flowers.

You will experiment with layering watercolour pencils, watercolour paint and acrylic paint on paper. You will also try techniques including scratching into paint and splattering! You will then work on an expressive wildflower meadow painting of your own.

All materials provided. We will have a break for tea, coffee and biscuits halfway through the workshop.
