Lino printing – Jigsaw technique

Event Date:

24/01/2024

Event Time:

10:30 am

Event Location:

Montague Gallery

In the second of the “More to Explore” lino printing sessions you will get the opportunity to learn the technique of separating the lino block into “jigsaw” pieces which can be inked up in different colours and printed together to create multi-coloured lino prints.

The technique can be used successfully with either complex or very simple lino cuts, so all levels of experience are welcome to join the workshop. Melissa is experienced in teaching complete beginners as well as those who already lino print but want to find out more.

During the session you will produce at least one carved lino block and several colourful prints to take home.

Melissa Birch is an artist who exhibits locally & sells her prints on Etsy.com. With an MA in Fine Art, and 20 years teaching experience, she has the skills to help you enjoy your creativity too!
